A meeting today in Lahore was attended by Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz, who approved a solarization project for the province’s agricultural tube wells.

For their tubewells, they will only be responsible for 33% of the solarization cost; the remaining 67% will be subsidized by the government.

Farmers get relief from electricity bills

As part of the project, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said electricity bills would be reduced, solar panels would be available to farmers, reducing crop production costs and helping the agriculture industry.
